How do I pay my attorney?

A: Your attorney will not get paid unless he successfully obtains Social Security Disability Benefits for you. If you are successful, you can receive up to one (1) year of past due Social Security Disability Benefits. As a general rule, your attorney will receive 25% of the past due amount, however, his fee is capped at $5,300.00. The Social Security Administration should make this payment directly to your attorney on your behalf.
